In short: we'll tell you what work costs before we do it, we stand behind our workmanship, and we keep a clear record of everything we do for you. You agree to give us safe access and accurate information, and to pay for the work you've approved.
01Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "the customer") and Whoo-Whoo Home Services (Pty) Ltd ("Whoo-Whoo", "we", "us"). By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or booking and receiving services from us, you confirm that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
02Who we are
- Registered name: Whoo-Whoo Home Services (Pty) Ltd
- Registration number: [company registration number]
- Address: [registered street address], Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
- Email: hello@whoo-whoo.co.za
03Our services
We provide home services in Stellenbosch and the surrounding Cape Winelands, including electrical work, plumbing, gas installation and general home maintenance, together with our Home Passport record-keeping service. We may use our own staff and vetted third-party tradespeople to carry out work (see section 11).
Service availability depends on your location, the nature of the work and our capacity. We will let you know if we are unable to assist with a particular request.
04Bookings, quotes & access
- You can request a booking through our website, by phone, or by messaging us (including via WhatsApp). A booking is confirmed once we have accepted it and agreed a time with you.
- Where the scope of work allows, we will provide an estimate or quote before starting. Quotes are valid for the period stated and may be revised if the actual work, access or materials differ from what was described.
- You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time, and to make us aware of any hazards, pets, alarm systems or access restrictions in advance.
- If additional work is discovered once we begin, we will discuss it with you and seek your approval before proceeding, except where urgent action is needed to prevent injury or serious damage.
05Pricing & payment
- A call-out fee may apply and, where it does, will be communicated to you up front.
- Prices for work and materials will be set out in your quote or invoice. Unless stated otherwise, prices include VAT where applicable.
- Payment is due as stated on your invoice or as otherwise agreed. We accept the payment methods indicated at the time of booking or invoicing.
- Electronic payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; their terms apply to the payment transaction.
- Late or unpaid amounts may result in suspension of further work and, where permitted by law, recovery of reasonable costs of collection.
06Compliance certificates
Where you request, or the law requires, a Certificate of Compliance (for example an electrical Certificate of Compliance, or a gas compliance certificate), we will issue it where the relevant installation meets the applicable standards and the work falls within the scope of the licence held by the qualified person carrying it out.
A certificate confirms compliance of the specific installation inspected, as at the date of inspection. It is not a guarantee of unrelated parts of the property, and existing non-compliances we identify may need to be remedied (at an agreed cost) before a certificate can be issued.
07Cancellations & rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible. We may charge a reasonable fee for cancellations made on short notice, for missed appointments where access could not be obtained, or for materials already ordered specifically for your job. We will tell you about any such fee in advance where we can.
08Workmanship & guarantees
We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. Where we provide a workmanship guarantee on labour, its terms and period will be stated on your quote or invoice. Materials and appliances are covered by their manufacturer's warranty, which we will pass through to you where applicable.
Guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, alterations made by others, pre-existing faults outside the scope of the work we carried out, or issues caused by factors beyond our control. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, or other applicable law.
09Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the property, the work needed and any known risks.
- Ensure you are authorised to request the work (for example, that you own the property or have the owner's permission).
- Provide safe access and a safe working environment for our team.
- Keep children and pets away from work areas, and secure valuables.
- Pay for work you have approved, in accordance with section 5.
10Your Home Passport
As part of our service, we maintain a record of the work we carry out at your property — your Home Passport. You agree that we may create and keep this record to provide our services, and that it forms part of our business records. We handle the personal information in your Home Passport in line with our Privacy Policy, and you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information as described there.
11Tradespeople & operators
We may engage vetted third-party tradespeople and suppliers to perform or assist with work. We take reasonable steps to vet the people we work with, and they carry out work on our behalf and to our standards. Your agreement for the services remains with Whoo-Whoo.
12Liability
We accept responsibility for loss or damage that is directly caused by our negligence or breach of these Terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- indirect, special or consequential loss;
- pre-existing defects or conditions in the property that we did not cause;
- loss or damage arising from inaccurate information you provided, or from access we were not made aware of; or
- delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Except where the law does not allow it to be limited (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or under the Consumer Protection Act), our total liability arising from any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13Intellectual property
All content on our website — including our name, logo, text, graphics and the design of the site — is owned by or licensed to Whoo-Whoo and is protected by law. You may view and use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce or use our branding or content without our written permission.
14Privacy
Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it to understand how we handle your information and the choices available to you.
15Suspension & termination
We may decline, suspend or stop work where it would be unsafe, unlawful, outside our competence, or where amounts owing to us remain unpaid. You may stop using our services at any time, subject to paying for work already carried out or approved, and any applicable cancellation fees.
16Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you book applies to that booking. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we make changes, so please check this page periodically.
17Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. If you have a concern, please contact us first — we would like the chance to put things right before any formal step is taken.
